Curious about which track this fine connoisseur is going crazy about.
Then check out βThe Five Favo Tunes of Mr. Jayβ
1) πππ΅π΅ π²ππ΄π – “πΌπ’ πΏπππ πΎπ πππ π”
One of my first fondest memories with hiphop culture during my teen years on tape still holds a special place in my heart everytime i hear this.
2) πΈπ²π΄-π – “π½ππ πΉπππ π·ππππππ”
My very first vinyl 12β single i bought from the movie New Jack City with Wesley Snipes as Nino Brown. Still think Ice-T is a very underrated rapper. But the beats on this track were & still are crazy energetic.
3) 24πΊ – “ππ π·πππ π½π π΄ππππππ”
My first encounter with NederHop (dutch hiphop) a very underground but strong crew from Eindhoven from back in the days. Militant & political rap reminds me of Paris & Public Enemy. Strong lyricists dope samples and still a dope track.
4) πΊπ½π΄π΄ π³π΄π΄πΏ – “π½πππππ πππππ”
A white label release during my vinyl days which is a remix more dancefloor funky house driven edit of Funky Nassau by german boys Knee Deep who also remixed Jamiroquai tracks. I still play this track it still works on the dancefloor.
5) ππ½π³π΄πππΎππ»π³ – “ππ π πΌπππππ πΎππ”
One of dem underground vinyl tunes from back in the day that still brings back that raving warehouse vibe! Thereβs only 1 mix that gets me excited the John Ciafone (Mood II Swing) vocal mix. I can put this on repeat everytime.
