Strap yourself in for another six years of Randy Marsh because South Park is going to be firing out content like Mongolian missiles at our goddamn shitty wall.
Not only has Comedy Central renewed your favourite quiet mountain town until 2027, they’ve also commissioned 14 original films based on it.
As NME reports, the landmark deal with US streaming service Paramount+ will take the long-running show through to Season 30.
“Comedy Central has been our home for 25 years and we’re really happy that they’ve made a commitment to us for the next 75 years,” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone quipped in a joint statement.
“We can’t wait to get back to doing traditional South Park episodes but now we can also try out new formats. It’s great to have partners who will always take a chance with us.”
It comes after they dropped two, hour-long South Park specials over the course of the pandemic, the Pandemic Special and South ParQ Vaccination Special, with the former scooping up a Primetime Emmy Award nomination.
At least we know that, even if the world continues to go to shit over the next six years, we’ll still have our favourite Kenny-killing, PC bro-ing, manbearpig-fighting, imagination-nuking, anthropomorphic poo-loving, pangolin-fucking mates from South Park to help us laugh at it a little along the way
