BOY SODA has shared his debut single today and what a way to kick things off. ‘LOVEU2BITS’ is an RnB track with the most satisfying bass line. It’s a total tune.
“Everyone knows the feeling of watching a person they love see someone else and it’s the worst,” explains BOY SODA of the track.
“I feel like there are a lot of ugly emotions that follow and you’re just sad and angry at the same time (which is normal because it means they meant something to you, and if we don’t have people like this coming in and out of our lives then what’s the point?).
“I didn’t want to look at it this way, I just knew that I really loved someone and that was more important before any of the heartbreak and emotional conflictions.
“LU2B is a celebration of love and time spent with complete disregard for anything that existed before or after the relationship.
“Do I want her to hear this on the radio and call me? YES. but we don’t have to talk about that.”
The single comes with a Bailey Watts-directed music video.
“Bailey and I wanted to create a video that revolved around the irony of singing a love song and being the loneliest character in the video,” says BOY SODA.
“As the plot unfolds, we see different relationships start to turn sour, but I’m still in the background thinking, ‘damn even if I did have something to argue about, I got no one to argue about it with.’”
